. Who qualifies as an Intota expert? |
The Intota expert network is made up four broad categories of experts. The first category consists of highly distinguished professors, scientists and researchers from academic institutions, national labs, and research facilities in North America and Europe. The second category includes retired business professionals and engineers from a wide variety of companies. They bring many years of practical experience in industry. Third, there are experts currently employed within industry, but they typically need an authorization from their employer to participate in the expert network. The last category consists of independent and experienced consultants in a wide variety of technical, scientific and business disciplines.

. Does it cost anything to enroll as an Intota expert?
|
No. There are no costs involved to enroll. To become an Intota expert, applicants must invest time and effort in filling out the application forms, must agree to the terms and conditions of Intota's expert agreement, and must be approved as as Intota expert.

. What kinds of questions do people ask the experts? |
Intota users are typically business professionals, technical people or lawyers who need to consult with subject matter experts about a particular technology, process or product before making important decisions. Here are some examples of questions that experts typically get:

. How do customers contact experts?
|
Clients will find an expert's biography on the Intota website and submit a service inquiry using an online project request form. An Intota Expert Network Specialist will facilitate the connection between the client and the expert. Intota handles all administrative work behind the transaction.

. How does Intota promote its experts?
|
Intota's goal is to be the premier expert network on the Internet. Intota has made a significant commitment to promote its experts. In addition to exposure from internet marketing, mail campaigns, press releases, media coverage and print advertisements, Intota has also partnered with a number of organizations who are directing their members to the Intota website when they are in need of special expertise. . Does Intota have an exclusivity policy?
|
Intota's goal is to create the best and most unique expert network on the Web. To do that and to maintain the highest level of quality, Intota asks that the expert not sign up as an independent contractor with competing expert services. Intota's exclusivity policy does not prohibit an expert from engaging in normal consulting work or advertising the expert's services. Intota's exclusivity policy is a typical non-competitive clause to allow Intota to maintain its competitiveness.

. How do Intota experts make money?
|
Experts receive commissions from consulting services. See the table below.

. How do experts get paid? |
For Quick Consulting, once the expert has completed the consultation with a client, the expert can log in to Intota's expert website and submit a voucher online. This will trigger the expert's payment. Checks will be sent out from our office within 5 weeks. The expert should allow a few additional days’ time for the check to arrive by mail.
For Extended Consulting, once a client has accepted the Guideline proposal, Intota will create a project through the online invoice tool, so the expert can submit hours and expenses for payment.
